Lifestyle Protection Accident Care

You will receive 100% of sum insured in case of accidental death and 200% of sum insured if death occurs while traveling as a fare paying passenger on a common carrier.

You will receive 25% of the sum insured as lump sum in the event of suffering from a Coma due to accident.

You will have options to choose a Sum Insured up to Rs 3 Cores. Eligibility of Sum Insured will be determined based on your income, with the maximum being 10 times of annual income. You can place a request for cancellation any time during the term of the policy; premium refund will be on short period basis.

From the policy inception date, there will be a waiting period of 90 days before the symptoms of any critical illness first occur for you to be able to make a claim.

There is a grace period of 30 days for renewal of a single premium policy from the date of expiry.

Along with other benefits, you can also claim tax deduction u/s 80D as per IT Act 1961 for premium paid towards this policy. For premiums paid in cash, tax benefit u/s 80D shall not be applicable. Please consult your tax adviser for more details.

We will not pay any claims arising out of or attributable to any of the following:

Any illness other than specified critical illnesses

Any pre-existing diseases

HIV/AIDS and its complications

Genetic disorders

Mental disorders

Suicide or drug abuse

Once a claim for a particular critical Illness has been admitted and paid, the coverage will automatically terminate for that insured person. If the policy is issued to more than one individual, it will continue to be in force for the remaining members.

With a unique approach to the Indian market our Lifestyle Protection-Accident Care plan fills a potential gap in coverage of unexpected expenses arising from death or serious injury caused by an accident that may not be satisfied by other insurance plans such as life, disability, health or workers’ compensation. This coverage provides protection on or off the job, including death, disability, loss of job and financial protection.

Plan Description

You have the flexibility to choose an amount ranging anywhere from Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 Cores. Eligibility depends on your income, with the maximum being 10 times of annual income. For non-earning family members, the sum insured for spouse is limited to a maximum of 60% of the earning member and for a dependent child, parents, in-laws and siblings; it’s 30% of earning member’s sum insured.

Persons above 70 years up to 80 years may be accepted subject to Medical Underwriting.

The premium will depend on the plan, optional covers, sum insured and policy tenure. You may choose to pay via single premium mode or annually in case of a 2 & 3 year policy term. You may choose between a 1, 2 or 3 years policy period.

This policy will cover self, spouse, dependent parents and dependent parents in-laws in addition to dependent children and dependent siblings up to the age of 25 years.

We want your child’s education go on unaffected even in your absence or in case permanent disability. So, you will receive a one-time payment equal to 10% of sum insured per surviving dependent child for a maximum of 2 children subject to a limit of Rs.10 lakhs per policy.

You will receive a lump sum amount (maximum up to Rs.10,000 based on sum insured selected by you) for transportation expenses on emergency ambulance services.

You will receive a one-time payment of Rs.5000 for sum insured up to 50 lakhs and Rs.10,000 for sum insured above Rs 50 lakhs towards funeral or cremation expenses.

Plan Benefits

We will pay a Daily Cash Benefit for each continuous and completed period of 24 hours of Hospitalization due to injury.

We will pay 2 times the Daily Cash Benefit for each continuous and completed period of 24 hours of Hospitalization for illness.

For hospitalization in an Intensive Care Unit for treatment of illness and injury we will pay 3 times the Daily Cash Benefit. Coverage is limited to a maximum of 15 days per Insured Person per Policy Year.

You might need to get hospitalized in a Hospital room Or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) outside India for medical assistance due to illness or injury. Don’t worry; we will pay 3 times the Daily Cash Benefit for medically necessary treatment.

There can be a situation when you may need a long hospital stay. We understand your problems. We will pay a lump sum equal to 5 times the Daily Cash Benefit for hospitalization of at least 10 consecutive days

While you are hospitalized you may need a family member to take care of you. We ensure that you get continuous care with additional pay of 50% of your Daily Hospital Cash Benefit.

We will pay a lump sum benefit amount lower of 5 times the Daily Cash Benefit or Rs.25,000, to the Insured Person for Day Care Treatment. The benefit shall be available for a maximum of 5 Day Care Treatments per Insured Person per Policy Year. For Cataract, coverage is limited to 1 surgery in a Policy year per Insured Person.

Persons between 18 to 65 years can opt for Critical Illness cover as add-on benefit. We will give a lump sum amount equal to Sum Insured in case of first diagnosis of the covered critical illness. Once claim is paid the Critical Illness benefit will cease to exist for that person.

We know your need to try something before you trust it. A period of 15 days from the receipt of the policy document is available to review the terms and conditions of this policy. You can choose to cancel the policy by stating the reason for cancellation and we shall refund the premium after retaining 50% of costs for any medical tests (if conducted). Cancellation will be allowed only if there are no claims reported.
