What Policy Covers?

  • Loss or damage to the insured vehicle, due to the following:
  • Fire, explosion and self-ignition.
  • Flood, inundation, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, cyclone, hailstorm, frost, lightning, earthquake, landslide, rockslide (Act of God perils).
  • Burglary, theft, riot, strike, malicious or terrorist activities, accidental external damage, damage in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air.

Legal liability to any third party for injury/death (unlimited) or property damage (up to Rs 750,000), arising out of use of the insured vehicle at a public place. Coverage is in respect of the compensation amount (including interest), claimant’s costs (if awarded) and defenseexpenses (incurred with Insurer’s consent).

Personal Accident Cover of Rs. 200,000 for individual owner-driver of the insured vehicle, while travelling in, mounting into or dismounting from the car. Compensation is payable for death and various types of permanent disabilities.

Reimbursement of expenses up to Rs.1, 500 following an accident to the insured vehicle, for protection, removal/towing and redelivery of the car.

What Policy does not cover?

  • Any consequential loss or contractual liability.
  • Mechanical or electrical breakdown, depreciation, wear and tear.

Other Features

  • There are two basic types of Policy available. The Liability Only Policy is compulsory as per Motor Vehicles Act and covers Items 2 and 3 listed above of ‘What the Policy covers'. The Package Policy is a comprehensive cover, including all the listed items of ‘What the Policy covers’.
  • On change of ownership, application has to be made by the transferee within 14 days of such change, with required documents and payment of fees/additional premium (if required), for effecting transfer of insurance.
  • For vehicle damage claims, replacement parts are subject to depreciation, the percentage of which depends on vehicle age and category of parts. Such claims are also subject to a Compulsory Excess/Deductible, which depends on the c.c. of the vehicle.

Sum Insured Premium

  • All vehicles are insured for a fixed value known as Insured’s Declared Value (IDV). This is computed on the basis of the manufacturer’s listed selling price, inclusive of accessories (where applicable), after deducting appropriate depreciation based on the vehicle age.
  • There are two basic components of premium under the Policy. Liability premium is a fixed amount depending on vehicle c.c. while Own Damage premium rate (%) depends on vehicle c.c., age, model, operation zone etc. which is applied on the IDV. Extra premium is payable for the Extension covers, if opted for.
  • Premium discounts are available in the following situations:
    • Automobile Association membership.
    • Anti-theft device installation.
    • Higher Voluntary Excess opted for.
    • No Claim Bonus (NCB).
  • The discount for NCB is allowed at the time of renewal each year. It is expressed as a percentage of the Own Damage premium and increases from 20% to 50%, depending on the number of years of claim-free experience. It follows the fortune of the Insured and not the vehicle, which means that it will also be applicable on a substituted private car. It can be transferred from a different Insurer on renewal, subject to production of the required supporting documents. For NCB entitlement, renewal has to be effected within the stipulated expiry date, or maximum of 90 days thereafter. NCB will be lost on renewal, if any vehicle damage claim is lodged under the expiring Policy.

Cancellation of Policy

  • The Company may cancel the policy by sending seven days notice by recorded delivery to the insured at insured’s last known address and in such event will return to the insured the premium paid less the pro rata portion thereof for the period the Policy has been in force or the policy may be cancelled at any time by the insured on seven day’s notice by recorded delivery and provided no claim has arisen during the currency of the policy, the insured shall be entitled to a return of premium less premium at the Company’s Short Period rates for the period the Policy has been in force.
  • Where the ownership of the vehicle is transferred, the policy cannot be cancelled unless evidence that the vehicle is insured elsewhere is produced.

What Policy covers?

Loss or damage to your vehicle:

  • Any loss or damage caused to the vehicle due to the following natural and manmade calamities. Natural Calamities – Fire, explosion, self-ignition or lightning, earthquake, flood, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, inundation, cyclone, hailstorm, frost, landslide, rockslide. Manmade Calamities –Burglary, theft, riot, strike, malicious act, accident by external means, any damage in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air.
  • Personal accident cover: The motor insurance provides compulsory personal accident cover of Rs. 1 lakh for individual owner driver of the vehicle insured while traveling in, mounting or dismounting from the vehicle. You can also opt for a personal accident cover for pillion rider.
  • Third party legal liability: Protects against legal liability arising due to accidental damages, any permanent injury/ death of a person and/or any damage caused to the property.

What Policy does not cover?

The company shall not liable in respect of:

    any accident, loss, damage and or liability caused, sustained or incurred outside the Geographical Area;
  • claim arising out of any contractual liability;
  • any accident, loss, damage and/or liability can be sustained or incurred whilst the Motor Vehicle is
    • Being used otherwise than in accordance with the Limitations as to use or
    • Being driven by any person other than a Driver as stated in the Driver’s clause.
    • Any accident loss or damage to any property whatsoever or any loss or expense whatsoever resulting in or arising there from or any consequential loss.
    • Any liability of whatsoever nature. directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionising, radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from, any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel. For the purposes of this exception combustion shall include any self-sustaining process of nuclear fission;
  • Any accident, loss or damage or liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from nuclear weapons material.
  • Any accident loss or damage and or liability directly or indirectly or proximately or remotely occasioned by contributed by or traceable to arising out of or in connection with War, Invasion, the act of foreign enemies, hostilities, or War like operations (whether before or after declaration of war) Civil War, Mutiny, Rebellion, Military, or usurped power or by any direct or indirect consequences of the any of the said occurrences and in the event of any claim hereunder the insured shall prove that the accident loss damage and or liability arose independently of and was in no way connected with or occasioned by or contributed to by or traceable to any of the said occurrences or any consequences thereof and in default of such proof the company shall not be liable to make any payment in respect of such a claim

This is an additional benefit available with Iffco Tokio’s Private Car Comprehensive Policy Purchased Online only, for various emergency assistance services and benefits in the event of immobilisation of your vehicle during travel or at home/work, which will provide complete peace of mind to you in various exigencies. The insured perils are the same as under the Motor Package Policy, excluding the Act of God perils and riot, strike, malicious and terrorist activities, but including some additional perils, like internal breakdown, battery discharge, tyre puncture, loss of keys etc.

Covergae

  • Towing: If your vehicle is immobilized following an accident IFFCO-Tokio shall arrange for recovery of the vehicle and ensure Safe towing to the nearest authorized dealer or workshop. This coverage would be up to 100 KM radius from nearest IFFCO-Tokio branch city centre.
  • Services of Assistance at Home or Roadside: In the event of immobilisation of vehicle due to Pilot errors or electrical break down, when the vehicle is either at customers office, home or at the roadside, and where in the opinion of IFFCO Tokio the vehicle can be repaired at the place where the vehicle is lying, then we shall proceed with and repair the covered vehicle by arranging to send an automobile technician at the site of incident and repair the covered vehicle.
    These services shall include:
    • Flat Battery (Jump Start)
    • Spare Key pick-up & Delivery (in case of locked keys)
    • Flat Tyre Services
    • Other minor mechanical and electrical repairs at roadside
  • Essential Fuel Delivery: In case of immobilisation of the covered vehicle of customer due to having run out of fuel IFFCO Tokio shall deliver upto 5 lts (Five Liters). However, no more that twice during the policy coverage period.
  • Services of Taxi: In the event of immobilisation of covered vehicle where IFFCO Tokio is arranging for towing of the covered vehicle, IFFCO Tokio shall, basing on the details of the case and upon request of the customer, provide the services of taxi for all person(s) travelling on the covered vehicle transportation upto 50 (fifty) kms from the location of the immobilisation of the covered vehicle subject to:
    • Taxi shall be provided only to one destination
    • Only people travelling in the vehicle up to the maximum passengers limit as defined as per the registration copy of the vehicle shall be provided the benefit
    • Any travel beyond 50 kms shall not be covered and any arrangement for continuation of travel beyond 50 kms shall be between the customer and the service provider as the case may be
    • The taxi benefit shall be arranged by IFFCO-TOKIO and shall be provided through IFFCO-TOKIO network and selected service providers, but shall be the sole responsibility of IFFCO-TOKIO
    • In the unlikely event where IFFCO-TOKIO is unable to arrange for this service through its network and tie-ups, IFFCO- TOKIO may request the customer to arrange for a taxi on his own and submit the bill for a pre-communicated amount re- imbursement which shall be on par or in line with market taxi rates
  • Services of Hotel Coordination: In the event of immobilisation of the covered vehicle if the customer wants to avail Hotel coordination benefit, IFFCO Tokio shall provide the customer with a network hotel details and the Insured can stay there at his own expense.
  • Services of Medical Co-ordination: In case of immobilisation of vehicle and customer is in need of Medical co-ordination, IFFCO TOKIO will co-ordinate for Medical assistance or information and provide information he may require as to Medical assistance. Any costs incurred treatment or consultation with the doctor will entirely be borne by the Insured
  • Urgent Message Relay: Due to unforeseen circumstances the Insure may be unable to connect to his family for help. In such cases, where the Insured's car is immobilised, IFFCO Tokio on customers request will arrange a conference call for him on the number shared by him/her on the phone carried by our technician.

Exclusion

Please note that this is an additional benefit being provided to on-line customers who buy comprehensive car policy and all the terms and conditions will be solely and shall be at complete discretion of IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Co. Ltd.

This is a set of unique additional benefits being provided at a very small cost to you, as holder of Iffco Tokio’s Motor Package Policy. The insured perils for this coverage are exactly the same as under your Motor Package Policy.

Coverage

There are 12 benefits available, from which the Insured can choose the covers required by him. The list of benefits is furnished below:

  • Waiver of the amount deducted towards depreciation on parts, for partial loss claims of the insured vehicle under the Motor Package Policy.
  • For total loss claims of the insured vehicle, difference amount between the current ex-showroom price and IDV of the vehicle as mentioned in the Motor Package Policy will be paid.
  • The daily rental/travel cost of the Insured will be paid, for the period required to effect vehicle claim settlement (for both partial and total losses), subject to maximum time periods specified for such payment.
  • Cover for Insured’s personal effects and belongings in the vehicle which get damaged following an insured peril operation, or get stolen from a locked vehicle, or get stolen along with the insured vehicle.
  • Reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by vehicle occupants (including driver, but excluding paid passengers), who get injured as a result of insured peril operation on the vehicle, or while resisting an act of theft/burgalry on the vehicle.
  • Personal accident cover, which is more extensive than that available under the basic Motor Policy for all occupants (including driver, but excluding paid passengers). Coverage is granted for all permanent and temporary disabilities, as well as various additional benefits.
  • Protection of NCB benefit, wherein Insured’s renewal NCB eligibility is unaffected by all standalone glass claims and is earned, retained or reduced (as per specified chart) for all other claims, depending on existing NCB entitlement and number of claims under the expiring Policy.
  • Increased third party property damage liability cover beyond Rs. 750,000 limit, as is available under the basic Motor Policy.
  • Reimbursement of cost incurred for removal of debris or wreckage, following damage to the vehicle due to an insured peril operation.
  • Cost of towing, removal and storage of the vehicle if it is not repairable at spot, in the above case.
  • Cost of hotel accommodation for the vehicle passengers up to 3 nights (subject to maximum limits), if vehicle is damaged due to operation of an insured peril, which requires repairing time above 12 hours.
  • Cost of transportation and redelivery of the vehicle (subject to distance limits), if repairs take more than 72 hours and Insured/Driver has left the incident place.

Exclusion

The general exclusions for this coverage are exactly the same as for the Motor Package Policy. There are specific exclusions applicable for each of the separate benefit Sections of this coverage.

Features

  • Out of the list of benefits given above, Insured can choose as per his requrement. A minimum of 3 Sections have to be chosen, but there is no compulsory Section specified.
  • For most of the listed benefits, there are maximum monetary limits, which are either specified or have to be opted for by the Insured.
  • The last three benefits of the coverage items listed above are available for private cars, only at those centres where Iffco Tokio’s On Road Protector Coverage is not available.
  • The premium computation is done separately for each Section and the minimum premium for this coverage is Rs. 1,500 plus S.T. for private cars.

HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS

A complete Protector

The standard medical cover available in the market is perceived to be rather expensive for the common man. Normal hospitalization while also involving a financial strain, can even then be sustained by an average person. but treatment for critical illness, while saving the person's life could cripple him financially. By paying a fraction of the normal premium required to be paid for a full fledged medical cover, complete protection can be taken through this Policy when it is needed the most. The ailments which are covered under this Policy are cancer, renal failure, coronary artery diseases requiring bypass surgery, major organ transplant, and paralytic cerebral stroke as well as accidental injuries resulting in loss of limbs.

This Policy can be issued to various categories of groups as under:

  • Employers covering their employees including dependants of the employees
  • Pre-identified segment/group where the premium is paid by the State/Central Government.
  • Members of registered service clubs.
  • Holders of credit cards or other financial cards.
  • Holders of deposit or certificate of Banks/NBFCs.
  • Shareholders of public limited companies, cooperative societies etc.
  • Students/teachers of educational institutions.
  • Members of any other group having common identification or interest

Coverage

If the Insured Person(s) is/are for the first time diagnosed during the period of Insurance as suffering from a critical illness, symptoms (and/or the treatment) as defined under point 11 to 19 of “Definition of Words” and/or received Injuries as defined under point 20 of “Definition of Words”, then WE will reimburse to you medical hospitalization expenses incurred in respect of Insured person(s) - as an inpatient ,or to Insured Person(s) or to his /her legal heirs upto the amount stipulated against such Insured person in the schedule. In case of availing Cashless Hospitalisation at Network Hospital no reimbursement of expenses shall be involved.

In the unfortunate event of you or your family members meeting with an illness or accident resulting in hospitalisation, Iffco Tokio’s Individual Medishield Insurance Policy gives you cash free hospitalisation benefit in more than 3000 hospitals across India. The Policy also reimburses expenses incurred during pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation stages of the treatment.

What Policy Covers

  • Hospitalisation expenses incurred for treatment of physical disease or injury sustained/incepted during the Policy Period, although treatment can continue beyond Policy expiry date also.
    Following expenses would be included:
    • Room Rent @ 1.0% of Basic Sum Insured daily and ICU/ITU Rent @ 2.5% of Basic Sum Insured daily.
    • Registration, Service Charges, Surcharges etc. of hospital at actual, subject to a maximum of 0.5% of Basic Sum Insured.
    • Nursing expenses, including that incurred during pre and post hospitalisation periods (only if qualified nurse is employed on advice of Medical practitioner ).
    • All types of Medical Practitioner’s (Surgeon, Anesthetist, Consultant etc.) fees.
    • Cost of medicines, blood, oxygen, anesthesia, diagnostic and pathological tests, operation theatre charges, cost of chemotherapy, dialysis, pacemaker, artificial limbs etc.
    • Ambulance charges @ 1.0% of Basic Sum Insured, subject to maximum Rs 1,500.
    • Daily Allowance @0.1% of Basic Sum Insured, subject to maximum Rs. 250 per day, for the duration of hospitalisation.
  • Domiciliary Hospitalisation expenses, up to a maximum sub-limit of 20% of Basic Sum Insured. This relates to expenses for medical treatment for a period of more than 3 days, which would normally require hospitalisation, but is actually taken at home for specified reasons, as stated in the Policy.
  • Pre and Post Hospitalisation expenses for maximum period of 60 days each, beyond hospitalisation period.
  • Hospitalisation expenses of persons donating organs during organ transplantation of insured person, within the overall and individual limits of Sum Insured specified under the Policy
  • Cost of health check-up, once at the end of 4 claim free years block @ 1.0% of average Basic Sum Insured.
  • Prescribed package charges of hospital for specific treatments, subject to a maximum of 80% of Sum Insured.

What policy does not cover?

  • Any pre-existing disease, for a period of 3 years of continuous coverage from inception of Insured’s first Medical Policy.
  • An initial 30 day waiting period for newly incurred diseases (not accidents).
  • One year exclusion period for few specified diseases only, as listed in the Policy.
  • Cost of spectacles, contact lens or hearing aids.
  • Dental treatment, unless requiring hospitalisation.
  • Convalescence, general debility, congenital diseases/defects, sterility.
  • All claims arising from or related to pregnancy, other than ectopic pregnancy.
  • Any domiciliary or out-patient treatment.
  • Cost of external medical equipments.
  • Claims arising out of participation in dangerous sports/activities.
  • Claims arising from or related to HIV/AIDS.
  • War, terrorism and nuclear risks.
  • All non medical expenses, including personal comfort and convenience item services.
  • Treatment of obesity, hormone replacement therapy, sex change.
  • Genetic disorders, stem cell implantation and surgery.
  • Expenses on naturopathy, experimental or alternative medicine, acupressure, acupuncture, magnetic and similar therapies.

Features

  • Person of any nationality can be covered, but should be primarily a resident of India, since coverage is available for treatment in India only.
  • Coverage is available for persons between 3 months and 80 years of age. Children between 3 months and 5 years can be covered only if both parents are covered concurrently.
  • No medical checkup is required up to 45 years. Beyond that age, pre-acceptance medical tests (Blood Sugar, Urine & ECG) are required to be done for fresh and break coverage only (not for continuous renewals). For persons beyond 55 years, additional tests (LP & KFT) have also to be done for fresh/break coverage.
  • There is provision of Family Package cover, including spouse, dependent children and dependent parents, with premium discount facility. Dependent children have to be unmarried and under 23 years of age. Otherwise, separate Policies without premium discount can be issued to them.
  • Hospitalisation has to take place in defined institutions for a minimum 24 hours period, except for treatments pertaining to 121 listed day care surgeries, when claims would be considered for shorter duration stay also.

Our Personal Accident Insurance Policy gives complete protection against all accidental occurrences that might lead to death or bodily injury of the insured person. The Policy also covers eventualities where though the insured person survives an accident, he is crippled for the rest or part of his life. What Policy Covers?

  • Hospitalisation expenses incurred for treatment of physical disease or injury sustained/incepted during the Policy Period, although treatment can continue beyond Policy expiry date also.
    Following expenses would be included:
    • Room Rent @ 1.0% of Basic Sum Insured daily and ICU/ITU Rent @ 2.0% of Basic Sum Insured daily.
    • Registration, Service Charges, Surcharges etc. of hospital at actual, subject to a maximum of 0.5% of Basic Sum Insured.
    • Nursing expenses, including that incurred during pre and post hospitalisation periods -(only if qualified nurse is employed on advice of Medical practitioner).
    • All types of Medical Practitioner’s (Surgeon, Anesthetist, Consultant etc.) fees.
    • Cost of medicines, blood, oxygen, anesthesia, diagnostic and pathological tests, operation theatre charges, cost of chemotherapy, dialysis, pacemaker, artificial limbs etc.
    • Ambulance charges on actual basis, subject to maximum Rs 750.
    • Daily Allowance @ Rs. 150 per day, for the duration of hospitalisation.
  • Domiciliary Hospitalisation expenses, up to a maximum sub-limit of 20% of Basic Sum Insured. This relates to expenses for medical treatment for a period of more than 3 days, which would normally require hospitalisation, but is actually taken at home for specified reasons, as stated in the Policy.
  • Pre and Post Hospitalisation expenses for maximum period of 30 days each, beyond hospitalisation period. The Post Hospitalisation expenses are limited to 7% of the hospitalisation expenses (excluding Room Rent), subject to a maximum of Rs. 7,500
  • Hospitalisation expenses of persons donating organs during organ transplantation of insured person, within the overall and individual limits of Sum Insured specified under the Policy Prescribed package charges of hospital for specific treatments, subject to a maximum of 80% of Sum Insured or 80% of actual expenses, whichever is less.
  • The overall expense limit is capped for certain diseases/treatments, based on the Sum Insured under the Policy.

What Policy does not cover?

  • Any pre-existing disease, for a period of 4 years of continuous coverage from inception of Insured’s first Medical Policy.
  • An initial 30 day waiting period for newly incurred diseases (not accidents).
  • One year and two year exclusion periods for certain specified diseases, as listed in the Policy.
  • Cost of spectacles, contact lens or hearing aids.
  • Dental treatment, unless requiring hospitalisation.
  • Convalescence, general debility, congenital diseases/defects, sterility.
  • All claims arising from or related to pregnancy, other than ectopic pregnancy.
  • Any domiciliary or out-patient treatment.
  • Cost of external medical equipments.
  • Claims arising out of participation in dangerous sports/activities.
  • Claims arising from or related to HIV/AIDS.
  • War, terrorism and nuclear risks.
  • All non medical expenses, including personal comfort and convenience item services.
  • Treatment of obesity, hormone replacement therapy, sex change.
  • Genetic disorders, stem cell implantation and surgery.
  • Expenses on naturopathy, experimental or alternative medicine, acupressure, acupuncture, magnetic and similar therapies.
  • First 10% of any admissible claim, if insured person is suffering from either diabetes or hypertension and first 25% of claim, if he is suffering from both diabetes and hypertension. This provision is applicable for claims arising out of diabetes and/or hypertension only.

Features

  • Person of any nationality can be covered, but should be primarily a resident of India, since coverage is available for treatment in India only.
  • Coverage is available for proposer, spouse and up to 3 dependents (children, brother, sister, nephew or niece) between 3 months and 23 years of age at the time of commencement of cover. While renewalcover can continue up to the age of 80 years (for the oldest family member), if any dependent crosses the age limit of 23 years as stated above, he will have to be removed from this Policy and granted cover under a separate individual Policy.
  • No medical checkup is required up to 45 years. Beyond that age, pre-acceptance medical tests (Blood Sugar, Urine & ECG) are required to be done for fresh and break coverage only (not for continuous renewals). For persons beyond 55 years, additional tests (LP & KFT) have also to be done for fresh/break coverage.
  • Hospitalisation has to take place in defined institutions for a minimum 24 hours period, except for treatments pertaining to 121 listed day care surgeries, when claims would be considered for shorter duration stay also.

Basic Cover

    Room Rent Expenses as provided in the Hospital/Nursing Home including Hospital Registration/ Service charges.
  • Nursing Expenses during hospitalisation period on the advice of Medical Practitioners for duration specified.
  • Surgeon, Anesthetist, Medical Practitioner, Consultant, Specialist fees.
  • Anesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, Operation Theatre, Surgical Appliances, Medicines & Drugs, Diagnostic Materials and X-ray, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Cost of Pacemaker, Artificial Limbs, Cost of Organs and similar expenses.
  • Ayurveda and/ or Homeopathy and/or Unani and/or Sidha Hospitalisation Expenses {upto the limit of the Sum Insured}.
  • Reasonable and customary charges incurred for Domiciliary Hospitalisation, if medically necessary upto a maximum aggregate sub-limit of 20% of the sum insured.

Additional Cover

  • Daily allowance: An additional daily allowance amount equivalent to 0.15% (one seventh of a percent) of thesum insured per day, up to a maximum of Rs. 1,000 (one thousand) per day respect of an insured person for the duration of hospitalization. If the hospitalization period is less than 24 (twenty four hours), then this daily allowance will be reduced proportionately for the period of hospitalization.
  • Ambulance charges: Ambulance charges in connection with any admissible claim subject to a limit of 0.75% (three fourth of a percent) of the sum insured or Rs. 2500/-(two thousand & five hundred) whichever is lower, for each hospitalization.
  • Pre and post hospitalization medical expenses: Nursing and Medical Expenses during pre & post hospitalisation period on the advice of Medical Practitioners for duration specified subject to the maximum of 45 days for pre hospitalisation and 60 days for post hospitalisation expenses.
  • Cumulative Bonus:
  • The Cumulative Bonus shall be increased by 5% (five percent) of the basic sum insured at each renewal in respect of each claim free year of insurance, subject to maximum of 50% (fifty percent) of basic sum insured of the expiring policy. For cumulative bonus eligibility, the policy has to be renewed within the expiry date or within a maximum of 30 (thirty) days from the expiry date, beyond which the entire cumulative bonus earned will lapseand be forfeited.
  • In case of a claim under the policy in respect of any insured person(s), the existing cumulative bonus will be reduced by 5% (five percent) of basic sum insured at the next renewal, subject to the stipulation that basic sum insured shall be maintained.
  • Day care surgeries: 121 surgical procedures covered without 24 hours of hospitalization stipulation.
  • Hospitalisation expenses if period of hospitalization is less than 24 (twenty four) hours: We will pay hospitalization expenses if the duration of hospitalization is more than 12 (twelve) hours but less than 24 (twenty four) hours except for the listed day care surgeries, the room rent shall be limited to 50% (fifty percent) of the entitled room rent per day.
  • Cost of health check up: Insured person(s), on individual or collective basis, shall be entitled forreimbursement of cost of medical checkup once at the end of a block of every four claim-free policies with us. The reimbursement shall not exceed the amount equal to 1% (one percent) of the average sum insured during the block of four claim free policies.
  • Vaccination expenses: Insured person(s), on individual or collective basis, shall be entitled for reimbursement of cost of vaccination at the end of every block of two policy period of 365 (three hundred & sixty five) days each with us or 366 days in case of leap year, subject to a maximum of 7.5% (seven and half percent) of the total premiumpaid (excluding taxes) for the last two policies in respect of a single insured person and a maximum of 15% (fifteen percent) for all the insured persons, provided no claim(s) is/are made in respect of the insured person(s) during that period of insurance and the policies were renewed without break.
  • Emergency assistance services: This policy provides, at no additional cost, whatsoever, a host of value added emergency medical assistance and emergency personal services. The services are provided when insured person(s) is/are traveling within India 150(one hundred and fifty) kilometers or more away from the residential address as mentioned in the policy schedule for less than 90(ninety) days. No claims for reimbursement of expenses incurred for services arranged by insured/insured person(s) will be entertained unless agreed by us or our authorized representative. Wherever, it is not reasonably possible to ascertain if the reported situation was an emergency or not, the benefit of doubt shall be available to you in respect of the insured person.

  • Expenses on Anesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, Operation Theatre, Surgical Appliances, Medicines and Drugs, Diagnostic Materials and X-ray, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, Cost of Pacemaker, Artificial Limbs, Cost of transplantation of Organs and similar expenses.
  • Expenses on Vitamins and Tonics only if forming part of treatment as certified by the attending Medical Practitioner.
  • Ayurveda and/or Homeopathy and/or Unani hospitalization expenses incurred in Government recognized hospitals. Coverage also includes pre-hospitalization and post hospitalization expenses.
  • Ambulance Charges as per actual or Rs.3000/- (Three Thousand) per claim; whichever is less.
  • An additional Daily Allowance amount equivalent to 0.10% of the Sum Insured for the duration of Hospitalization towards defraying of miscellaneous expenses.
  • The above stated relevant expenses incurred for Domiciliary Hospitalisation if Medically Necessary and at Reasonable and Customary Charges up to a maximum aggregate sub-limit of 20% (Twenty percent) of the Sum Insured.
